Chapter 3.2

She's smoking hot! The red hair just screams sexy and her favorite color is black. That can be a very seductive combo. I'm sure that fact that she's in her underwear in this picture only helps that image.

For those who don't recognize her, this is Melanie (Brent and Ebony's 2nd child) as a teen. She added mean spirited to her lucky, athletic and genius traits.
It's only fitting that Melanie inherited Eddie's mean spirited trait seeing how her mom and grandma both have/had it too. All too often after Ebony loses or wins a chess match she'll verbally start attacking her opponent. I could see her being upset if she lost but most of the time she wins and still starts an argument.
I better get Fiona moving on those last two skills she needs to achieve her lifetime wish so that she can marry and move in with Zebulon. When I moved Trevor from gen 2 in with his girlfriend I was hoping they'd get married and have babies but they never did. I wanted to make sure Fiona had at least one little baby so I got her knocked up before she could move out. I can't wait to see what their baby will look like when it gets older.
Of her two nieces and one nephew, Fiona was closest with Chloe. Ebony seemed too overwhelmed with motherhood when Chloe came along so Fiona helped with Chloe a lot. Chloe had even called her mommy when she was little. Ebony made sure to fix that problem ASAP!

Side note: I love Chloe's socks! Fiona: "So, uh, remember the other night when I stayed over and we woohoo'd?"
Zebulon: "Of course I remember. I wish that was every night."
Fiona: "It will be very soon, I promise."
Zebulon: "Why are you so fidgety?"
Fiona: "I have some news. You might want to take a deep breathe."
Zebulon: "Are you sick?"
Fiona: "Well, that was part of it."
Zebulon: "What is it then?"
Fiona: "I'm pregnant..."
Zebulon: "Really? That's great news! Now, you must move in with me."
Fiona: "I always was going to."
Whoa! What do you know? Dante actually wears his every day clothes sometimes. Maybe he was sleeping or swimming in these before Melanie and him started working on their homework together. Fortunately, Dante's clothes for other occasions blend in fairly well as every day clothes.

Roland's no longer do homework at home very much anymore, rather they do it in school. I've been reading CatherineSimmer's Learning Legacy and valuable skilling time is wasted on doing homework at home. Unfortunately, my new obsession with getting this gen of kids all the skills possible has left them with very little social life and me with almost no story line for them. I'll have to find a happy medium with the next gen.
Ebony seriously does not like Lyla. They didn't really like each other before Lyla past so it's no surprise that they really dislike each other now. The house was not big enough for their mean spiritness.
Fiona hurried to the hospital when she started feeling contractions. While she stayed calm, the guy standing outside the front door started freaking out. Geesh! It's like she's not at the hospital and he might have to help her deliver the baby.
Zebulon didn't show up for the delivery which kind of surprised me. At any rate, Fiona went right to his home after baby, Jasper, was born. The happy parents cooed over their new baby.

By this point Fiona had achieved her lifetime want of maxing out three skills. I've had these two do romantic interactions over and over hoping to see the propose marriage option, but it never showed up. Then it dawned on my that thee house already had 8 sims on the lot. Perhaps that's why the option wouldn't show up so I went to edit town view and moved Fiona and Jasper in with Zebulon. They may not be married but at least their engaged.

Hahaha! I guess Lyla showed Ebony who's in control. Ebony will never really be the woman of the house with Lyla's ghost around.
Brent's garden is growing well. He's even harvested a few more perfect species of veggies/fruits. Thanks to those who provided help with that. I knew the family had a money tree but I had never looked closely at it. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw actually bags of money hanging from the tree when it was ready to be harvested.
Chloe was working on her first sci-fi novel when suddenly it was time for her to become a teen just like her siblings. She hooted and hollered as she spun around for the transition.
Chloe spun up the want to become an Illustrious Author. I locked it in. She already had a fair amount of writing and painting skills when she become a teen so this would be an easy lifetime wish for her to achieve.

Well, Ginger certainly doesn't look very happy about becoming the leader of the free world. Maybe it's because she knows she'll be getting married shortly and is afraid she'll end up having babies. If there's one thing Ginger doesn't like, it's children!
I sent Dante, Brent's and Ebony's oldest, to check on Fiona's family. I was happy to see Jasper had grown up into a toddler.

Fiona: "How's everything going?"
Dante: "Eh..."
Fiona: "Thanks for stopping by. It's nice to see you."
Dante: "Yeah...it's nice to be out, I suppose."
Fiona: "Have the voices in your head been wearing you out?"
Dante: "Aunt Fiona, you're about the only one that doesn't think I'm completely insane."
Fiona: "You're just a little different from other sims. Nothing's wrong with that."
Dante: "You're very lucky to have such a wonderful mom. Don't forget that!"
Ebony gets a bit stir crazy in the house after awhile since she rarely leaves for any reason. Who needs to leave their house when they can play chess on their deck. I gave Ebony the complimentary diner reward so whenever she gets the negative stir crazy moodlet I can send her out for a bit.
Now, that there's only six sims in the house Ginger quickly got the option to propose marriage to Ferby. She's moved in with his family of four. I think they only have two bedrooms so I'm sure it's a bit tight.
Ever since Dante became a teen and rolled the handy trait he's become the family's handyman. Almost everything in the house has been upgraded to unbreakable so there's not too much for him to fix. The teleportation pad is about the only thing that can break and that's only because I haven't seen an option to upgrade it.
If Melanie's not jogging outside she's running on the treadmill. Don't you just love her leg warmers. She rolled up the lifetime wish for perfect mind/perfect body so I locked it in. In case you forgot she's a genius and athletic so it real is her ideal lifetime wish.
One of the kids brought Leanne home with them and since Dante was about to become an adult I figured it would be a good time for him to get his first kiss. Dante told Leanne all sorts of weird things and she laughed and joked right along with him. If some guy that I just met started talking about conspiracies with me I might be a bit put off, but not Leanne. She definitely liked Dante.
It didn't take much help from me for these two to start kissing. They really seem great together.
Too bad Dante became an adult a short while after that. Mean spirited seems like it's not the only significant Roland family trait as Dante added loves the outdoors to his insane, grumpy, loser and handy traits. Lyla and Brent also have/had this trait and it's served the family very well. I made sure to put Dante in a skimpy pair of swim shorts to show off his rockin' bod! With his lifetime wish to become an astronaut he's bound to have a nice physique. This young lady is not Chloe, but she is wearing the same shirt! Lakshmi, came home with one of the kids from school. Does her hair style look familiar to you. Just picture light brown hair instead. She's actually Ebony's sisters daughter. Small world, huh? Of course, Brent decided to tell her how much he hates art while she was over. If he hates art so much way does he get a positive moodlet for how nicely decorated a room is when half of the draw is the art hanging on the walls.
Ebony is a firecraker! She starts a fight with just about anyone. Fatima, her latest chess opponent, became one of her victims. These two ended up hating each other enough to start an actual physical fight. I so cannot imagine two elderly women hitting one another.
I had been wondering if Fawn ever had children with Rahsaan so I sent Brent over to check on her. By the looks of it they never had any though. I must admit I'm rather disappointed. Fawn and Rahsaan were married for many years and had lots of time for that. Stupid game! I guess I'll just have to get the females in my legacy knocked up before they get married if I want to see what their kids look like.
Ebony has finally done it. After winning in her chess match against Jennie she became a grand master in chess. Ebony was so excited she managed not to start a fight with Jennie about something. It's about time, geesh! The whole neighborhood will hate her soon at the rate she's going.Melanie: "C'mon, dad. You can do it!"
Brent: "Augh! Sweetie, I'm an old man. My body doesn't move like yours anymore."
Melanie: "Do you want to become an astronaut or not?"
Brent: "I don't really care. My lifetime wish is to grow 8 different species of perfect plants, not become an astronaut."
Melanie: "Quit your whining and squeeze those legs together!"
Sadly, Melanie never managed to get her first kiss as a teen. I'll have to rectify that soon. She added vegetarian to her existing genius, athletic, lucky and mean spirited traits. Vegetarian, huh? Hopefully, I can remember that when sending her to the fridge to eat something.
I wanted to see how Jasper was coming along so I sent Melanie over for a visit. It looks like he's got a little of his daddy's chunkiness in him. That's not what's bothering me though. Do you see his creepy looking eyes?
Ginger and Fiona were only a couple days from elderhood themselves so I figured they wouldn't have any more children then what they already had. When I sent Brent over to check to see if Ginger had any at all I wasn't surprised to find out she didn't. Even if the game didn't suck and my legacy spares could have children after they moved out Ginger seemed the least likely to have any.
Have I mentioned Brent is totally glitched? Do you remember the time he took one of the kids out on a stroll for seeds? Well, ever since he held the baby in his arms on that walk he's always walked around as if he was still carrying the baby. I thought it might correct itself when he became an elder but it didn't. Boo! Anywho, I took this picture to show that Brent has bought out the spa business. It's entirely his now. Every week he can collect $4,000 from it. Plus he can now fire employees. Nobody better mess with him. At least he's not mean like Ebony or Melanie.
Look who it is, it's the social bunny. Yay! I have seriously been working Chloe hard. If she's not painting, she's writing another novel. She may just beat her siblings to acheiving their lifetime wishes.
I can't believe Chloe's already an adult. She barely got any face time but like I said I had her skilling a ton. She never got her first kiss as a teen either. I suck! I'm not sure what her fifth trait was but apparently it didn't take. She only has four traits: brave, excitable, unlucky and commitment issues.
Okay, so it's time for this generation of kids to start looking for spouses. I sent them all out on their own. Dante met Wendi right away. They didn't really seem to be getting along that well though. She is a bit neurotic...
Melanie headed to the gym to find some bulky guys. The only sims there were women though. Maybe she should go some where else.
Although, I didn't show any pictures Chloe had slowly been starting a friendship with Nicholas. I decided she could invite him out to lunch. They seem to be getting along very well. I don't really like his choice in pants but if Chloe becomes heiress that can be changed. Since the gym didn't really work out I sent Melanie to the community pool. As you can see her options were only worse there.
Oh, no. Madness has ensued. Dante's lady friend has wandered off leaving him to talk to himself. That's just great!
Finally! I single young adult/adult male finally showed up at the community pool. Melanie wasted no time getting to know him. Lets just hope he's not an adult nearing elderhood.
