Life is full of mysteries, The Marie Celeste, found abandoned on the high seas, with food on the table ready for eating yet no-one onboard the vessel. The wondrous patterns formed on the earth that can only be seen from thousands of feet in the air, yet made by ancient mankind. Lord Lucan, the peer that vanished after a horrible murder. The last one unsolved despite the many so called sightings of the man.We at the SLN offices also have our own mystery, one that was supposedly a straight forward suicide of a colleague and friend last year. Distraught with grief and anger, many believed he jumped from his island home, into the sea and drowned as a broken man. Indeed a note found on the beach stated he could no longer continue.
There are rumours, however, that sightings of a man very similar in appearance to our ‘late’ friend have been reported. Odd glimpses at strange times of the night. Imagination perhaps of minds remembering a man, wishful thinking on the part of people hoping to put a close to the odd events of last year? Maybe, who knows?
An envelope was found on the reception desk, no note enclosed, just a pair of photographs that pertain to be of our journalist friend.
This reporter will endeavour to trace all those who may have seen, or thought they have seen Baron DeSantis and will place what he is told in print, to let you, the readers make up your own minds.
