Second Life – On June 1st, AVs, parcels and sims will be awash in purple, thanks to efforts by volunteers from the American Cancer Society’s “Relay For Life”. Throughout Second Life, people desiring to show their support for those fighting cancer will take part in painting SL purple. “We’re using the power of purple to show support to cancer survivors, their caregivers; and to mobilize the community of Second Life,” said Fayandria Foley of Second Life. “Paint Second Life Purple Day is a time to celebrate those facing and fighting cancer and to show them they are not alone. This is a way everyone can support the fight against cancer, without costing even one linden. It’s not about the money – though that is very important – it’s about showing our support.”
The Volunteers of the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Second Life invites EVERYONE to join the fun and to spread hope in Second Life. Whether you are a sim - owner, a club owner, or a retail business owner, there is a way for you to participate in painting Second Life purple on June 1:
• Decorate your parcel or sim with a purple display.
• Hold a contest for Best in / of Purple.
• Display a purple yard sign in your front yard.
• Decorate your front entrance, your fence, or your door with purple.
• Wear purple clothing.
• Turn your town landmarks purple.
June 1st, join us in painting SL purple to show YOUR support of all who are fighting cancer.
