Miralee Munro ... Hanging By Her Fingernails!

OKAY, since Voodoo has lain down the gauntlet with his action pics, here is a little something from one of my own little strolls.
I still have a lot of trouble negotiating pathways - especially along mountain tops and rivers - so when I was trar-lah-lah'ing along a lovely mountain track, admiring the view it was no surprise really to find myself plummeting down into the abyss.
But wait ... I'd stopped falling! How is that possible? (Photo: See that tiny little speck there, in the middle of the pic? That's me.)
When I panned out, I just about fell off my chair laughing - there I was, clinging to the rockface on a skinny little ledge. And there was NO WAY I was up to the challenge of walking out of that one! So it was a short fly back up to the path and I was soon on way merry way again, whistling a jaunty tune.
So ... what about you? Done anything exciting lately?
Voodoo: Man of ACTION!
So,here I was, wandering the highways and byways of SL, when suddenly, from behind me, a car BURST it's way through a toll booth, sending debris spinning past me, as I instinctively dodged, due to my cat like reflexes.

Fortunately the car SPUN through the air, SMASHING into a attack helicopter which had been bearing down on me, ready to open fire. As the two vehicles COLLIDED, flames ERUPTED from them in a mighty EXPLOSION, as I leaped to safety...

As I tried to fly away, and jet fighter SCREAMED towards me, and I narrowly DODGED two missiles, as they HURTLED past me, RIPPING the nearby buildings apart, causing chunks of concrete to PLUMMET to the ground.

As luck would have it, I managed to LEAP aboard a passing truck, which SPED past the ONSLAUGHT of DESTRUCTION, and carried me away from my assailants to safety.

The search for Madeleine McCann
The 4 year old British girl dissapeared on May 3rd in a Portuguese holiday resort, where she and her family were on vacation. Since then, efforts have been very extensive to get her back. The reward for the crucial information leading to her return is currently at GBP 1.5 million (around US$ 3 million or almost L$ 800 million).
PUBLICITY IN SL
Yesterday, on June 12th, CNN posted an article about how the British police have been contacting Linden Labs about getting more publicity and came to an agreement to that purpose. I bet we will be seeing more and more posters of Madeleine soon in the virtual world. Our newspaper headquarters already had a huge billboard in front of the building since we wrote an earlier story about this on May 13th. Please read that story to learn how you can obtain your own billboard easily.

LATEST NEWS (Wednesday June 13th)
The Dutch newspaper Telegraaf has been tipped about the location of where the body of Madeleine can be found. The location is supposed to be somewhere in Portugal, not too far from where she was abducted. A letter to that extend arrived at the headquarters of the Telegraaf today and has immediately been handed over to the Dutch authorities, who shortly after that informed police forces in Great Brittain and of course Portugal.
The letter seems to be quite similar to a letter that was delivered to the Telegraaf HQ last year, about the 2 girls Stacey and Nathalie from Belgium, who's remains were found about 2 km (1.3 miles) from the place stated in the letter. This fact has lead to the authorities taking this letter very seriously and have started a search right away. Although this is one of the best leads the police has had so far, there is no way to be sure that this letter is authentic and that there is any certainty that Madeleine will actually be found.
The entire staff of the SL Newspaper wishes the family and friends of Madeleine McCann lots of strength in these difficult times and hopes that good news will arrive soon!
If you have any information about Madeleine McCann, please contact your local police department, look at http://www.findmadeleine.com/ or call the phone number stated in the animated picture at the top of this article.

Someone dial 911 now !!!
I just finished writing the story about the Linden infrastructure and I was following the tracks to see where they would lead to. I had already done so with the roads and hadn't seen a car anywhere. And I hadn't seen a train either, at least so far.
You can imagine my surprise when I actually heard the 'dong dong dong' and the typical sound of a moving train. I turned around and ... there it was !!! An actual locomotive !!! I was so surprised ...
I just couldn't believe my eyes. Well, not that I've never seen a train before, but this was a ghost train. There was just this empty train, not even a carriage with wood or coal, just the locomotive. And it was moving slowly but steadily towards whatever its destination was. Shocking !!!

Obviously I was very much intrigued and I followed the train, taking pictures along the way. At some point I found a nice position for a photo, at a train station. Just wondering if the train would stop there. It didn't. But I did see that someone had hopped in the train. I was even baffled for a moment, but I couldn't let it go, so I continued my pursuit.
And just as I was catching up to the locomotive again, my heart skipped a few beats !!! I just witnessed an accident as it was happening. There were these 2 people standing on the rails and they must have been as surprised as I was only moments before, that a train was coming. This guy was able to jump out of the way, but she ... ohhh, the train hit her hard and dragged her along for at least 20 meters !!!
However, somehow she must have a virtual guardian angel, because after a few agonizing seconds, she was able to jump off the bullbar of the train. She brushed off the dust (and grease from the dirty locomotive) and she seemed fine !!!

I guess that when the time comes that there will be trains driving around regularly across SL, people will be warned about the dangers of coming to close to the tracks and roads. For now, I will leave you with this note of caution: if you stand on the tracks, please beware of oncoming trains!
