With much excitement and anticipation, Silelf Fisseux and Ligeia Westwick the owners and operators of the Zurich City Opera House in Second Life are announcing their plans for the 13th of November celebration, marking the first anniversary of this venerable venue. The recently moved and restored Opera House is an interpretation of the Zurich Opera House in real life Zurich, converted to second life.The Zurich City Opera House at Les Nereides is a virtual i-common space for musicians and music enthusiasts.
My interview with Ms Fisseux about the recent move and restoration of the venue appeared in this newspaper only a few short weeks ago.
Over the past year, the Opera House has hosted concerts every Saturday and Sunday afternoon, featuring an eclectic mix of live musical performances, and spoken word presentations by writers, poets and scholars. While the emphasis is on music, Ms Fisseux and Ms Westwick and their many friends and supporters are dedicated to building a community that promotes the appreciation of arts and culture in all of its forms.
Located on the bay at the heart of Les Nereides, the large multi-purpose theater provides an elegant location suitable to any music genre.
On Thursday, the 13th of November, there are four concerts planned to celebrate the anniversary and a free gift for everyone that comes to the event.
12 PM SLT, Artist Torben Asp will perform electronic music
1 PM SLT, Author Diana Allandale will read from her erotic stories
2 PM SLT, Reis Alter will perform live vocals with all-electronic
3PM SLT, Artist Soundcircel Flanagan will rock and roll live from Holland
