GLEE TV - No GLEE This week

Because of the World Series on Fox, GLEE will be taking a few weeks off, returning on November 11th with the episode Wheels. I already ran a preview for the episode here. It was announced that the cast of GLEE would be on hand to sing the National Anthem on Saturday, October 31st, for game three of the World Series in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This might make up for NBC not letting the cast be a part of the Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Some of the spoilers floating around the internet include:
– Artie gets his own solo, singing his own rendition of Billy Idol’s “Dancing With Myself”
– Sue recruits a girl with special needs to the cheerleading squad. Does she have ulterior motives? Not quite…
– The Glee club hold a bake sale to raise money for their next competition
– Kurt and Rachel compete for the lead in singing “Defying Gravity” from the Wicked musical. (One of them throws the competition!)
– Tina and Artie share a kiss… but things don’t end well.
– Kurt and his father get in some touching father-son moments
– The Glee club does a rousing performance of Tina Turner’s “Proud Mary”… all in wheelchairs!
Thanks for Just Jared for the spoilers, you can find them here.

Damn, video deleted - trying another source.

GLEE TV - Casting News

UPDATE: More Casting news here. It is the latest from December 2009.
EW.Com has announced Jonathan Groff is joining the cast of GLEE for an extended run. Jonathan was in the original Broadway Cast of Spring Awakening with Lea, and
EW has exclusively learned that Lea Michele’s Spring Awakening co-star, Jonathan Groff (seen most recently in Ang Lee’s Taking Woodstock) is coming on board Glee for five or six episodes playing the lead male singer of Vocal Adrenaline, the group already seen performing “Rehab” and “Mercy.” Says Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy, “He is a male diva…a miva.” Groff’s character will also serve as a potential love interest for Michele’s Rachel.
I am saw them in Spring Awakening and thought they were outrageously good together. You can click here for the link to EW.Com.
In other news about GLEE from EW, Joss Whedon is set to direct an episode.
If I hadn’t been warming to Glee already, this for sure would’ve begun defrosting me: Dollhouse-keeper Joss Whedon has agreed to direct one of the back nine episodes that Fox just ordered.
Whedon is best known as the writer/director for shows such as Buffy The Vampire Slayer and the fantastic Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog. For more on this news item, click here.

GLEE TV - Mash-Up Preview 3 - Thong Song

For everyone's pre-church time, I figured this would give you the opportunity to have something for the confessional. Access Hollywood got the latest exclusive preview, with the featured song being Sisquo's Thong Song. I will say I had no idea it would be sung by teacher Will to guidance counselor Emma! And she is in a wedding dress!
We've already seen Will singing Bust A Move, and now he moves on to Sisquo. And we can't forget Puck singing his tribute to Neil Diamond [click here to see it].

Description: Inspired the by the students, Will composes a mash-up for a very special occasion. (And we can also reveal we get to meet Puck’s mom in this episode. Songs will include “Bust a Move,” “Sweet Caroline,” “Thong Song” and “I Could Have Danced All Night.” Julie Andrews and Sisqo in the same episode, be still my heart…)Episode 9 “Wheels” (Nov. 11)

GLEE-TV - Preview Keep Holding On

From EW.COM, this is another exclusive preview from the coming episode of GLEE, Throwdown. According to EW:
Next week’s episode of Glee, directed by co-creator Ryan Murphy, is chock full of fantastic performances, including Mercedes covering Jill Scott’s “Hate on Me” and a Rachel/Finn version of Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown’s “No Air.” But probably the most dramatic moment is the climactic glee club performance of Avril Lavigne’s “Keep Holding On.” I don’t want to spoil the episode for you Gleeks out there, but it proves to be a pivotal song for now-pregnant Quinn. I was actually fortunate enough to be on set for this episode back in April and I’m thrilled that I can now watch (and download) the final version. Glee just keeps getting better.
The episode is scheduled for Wednesday, October 14, 2009. It airs on Fox, 9PM/8PM Central time. And to catch any episodes you might have missed, you can find them online for FREE at Fox On Demand here or on Hulu here.
GLEE TV - 'Throwdown' Preview

Next week's GLEE episode is called Throwdown, and it will feature the song No Air, originally performed by American Idol winner Jordin Sparks and pre-arrest Chris Brown. It scored well on the radio, moving up to #3 on the Billboard charts.

GLEE TV - Vitamin D (Ep 6) Preview

This Wednesday there is a new episode of GLEE, and I am not sure it could be hotter. Boys versus the girls!
It is an all-boy effort on a Bon Jovi song - can you smell the testosterone?
I found the boys clip on Pop-Eater, click here, a fabulous site, via a Tweet.

Great TV - GLEE News

According to Michael Ausiello of EW.com, GLEE has been renewed!
FROM EW Website:
This just in: Fox is on the verge of announcing a full-season pickup for Glee, sources confirm. The show, which has performed solidly in the ratings, initially received a 13-episode order from the network. The back-nine pickup brings the total number of first-season episodes to — I suck at math but I think I’ve got this - 22.
So, this means a full season instead of the half-season as first promised.

Worth Another Listen - Journey
They had a earlier hit with Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'. It was another that showcased the vocals of Perry, who did have an amazing voice, even if he had a sketchy view of fashion. I mean, just look at the following video? Perry is a Str8 man, yet he is wearing this?
Journey is back on the road, although not with Steve Perry. He and the band parted ways in 1998. There is talk Perry is now working on a solo project.

Great Television - Glee

I might be the geekiest gay boy evah, but I am truly excited about the first episode of Glee tonight! Honestly, I am practically giggling like a teenage girl here. The premiere episode was sooooo long ago, and I loved it, but making me wait this long was almost criminal! However, to recap that first episode, watch this.
So tonight, at 9PM, we all know I will be glued to the TV, even foregoing my addiction to US Open tennis on ESPN2, to watch this show. Here is a promo for tonight's episode - don't let the next Wednesday night thing confuse you, the promo was aired last week.
Keep in mind I have a bit of a crush on teacher Will, played by Broadway veteran Matthew Morrison. He was in the recent revival of South Pacific, looking stunning.

Yes, I am a bit giddy!
