Sometimes you just run into things you'd never expect to see in SL. Although I think about everything from RL has been covered in SL (except maybe the Olympic Games), I just keep running into things that I never thought would be in SL now and then.
Like, the other day, I was on one of my exploration trips and for a change, I took a dive under the water surface. Just my luck !!! What people have been looking for in RL for ages, I found in SL !!! It was just there below me and I even overlooked it at first. The sunken city of Atlantis ...
At least, what's left of it.
And just as I had explored that place, I had another surprise coming. As my finger was hovering over the Page Up button to surface again, this mermaid swam up to me. Correction: a merMAN !! But even before I could find my chat bar, he left me again, leaving me completely flabbergasted. I was just conscious enough to take a snapshot.
I sent a notecard with my findings and the coordinates to the scientific bureau of Second Life, so I bet they'll check it out and see if it's really the Lost City.
