Vendor draw winner.......... Annette Wilder

Annette Wilder began her career in SL public relations with Avenue Models Inc. She has done public relations for some of the most well known highly influential fashion designers in SL. In RL Annette has a Bachelor's degree in Communications and she uses the skills acquired in her RL field to help her expand her PR business in SL.

December 17, 2007 she opened Wilder Public Relations Firm which has now grown to Wilder Public Relations Inc. All work was done without any staff other than Annette until she hired an associate, Bibe Mayo, who is now the Vice President. The two of them together are a force to be reckoned with.

The motto for Wilder Public Relations Inc. is "Empires were not built on word-of-mouth alone, strategy is everything."

Funniest Box Attachment (contest results)

About a month ago, we launched the Funniest Box Attachment Photo Contest (quite a mouth full, isn't it), and quite frankly, we were overwhelmed by the number of photos coming in. It was our pleasure to see many of our readers taking the effort to go back to their newbie days (or, in the case of actual new residents, exploit that) and send in a picture. Some of you have even sent in more than one picture, and they were all included.

Because of this, we had to number the pictures to make it anonimously and establish a jury consisting of our newspaper staff. Everyone voted and after 3 voting rounds, we finally came up (unanimously) with a winner !!!

And this winner is: Miss Stellata Primrose !!!


We all found this picture funny and romantic, and found the rookie absurdity of it quite typical.

However, we did get in a number of pictures that may not have been as funny as this one, at least in our humble opinion, but maybe were even more so very typical for rookie box attachment mistakes. Therefore, we do want to do a honorable mention to the following picture, made by Magnuz Tomsen. This picture, with what looks like a house attached to him, was certainly something we didn't want to keep from you.


So, with that, this contest has come to a conclusion. The winner has been congratulated and paid the prize of L$ 1000 and both Miss Primrose and Mr Tomsen will both get to do an SL photography workshop with me, Dixie Barbosa. We do hope that the money is spent wisely and that the winners both will enjoy the workshop.
