I find Jim Cantiello to be ridiculously funny, and David Archuleta very talented, so the combination of the two making the rounds at the MTV offices to be a special seasonal treat, even if the season is not yet here. Enjoy!

Web Video - Tweet Beat with Jim Cantiello 10/2/09

I find @JambaJim so very funny, and have been following his Idol in 60 Seconds, and the derivations on the theme he does for MTV. His irreverence and enthusiasm, combined with his basic geekiness, it all just makes him tough to resist. Recently he started a new project, Tweet Beat.
I can't help but think that Jim is one of the guys that get it, the absurdity of life. Here is a geek who makes a living on the cool network, MTV, a network about music that hardly plays music anymore, and he covers the music from another network, or talking about the social networking of the stars. For a str8 boy, he has a wicked sense of humor.

You can find Jim on the MTV website here.

Great Video - David Archuleta - ALMA Awards
David Archuleta went on to the ALMA Awards. The 18-year-old with a golden voice sang Contigo En La Distancia, a song made famous by Luis Miguel, who was being honored by the group. It also gave David a chance to celebrate his own roots, as his mother is a beautiful Latina.
David himself is adorable, and very young. But once the boy opens his mouth to sing, it is utter magic. I watched him on Idol, and was constantly amazed at the level of musical maturity in one so young. And his voice is just so rich and full, I love listening to it.
David's first single was Crush, an amazing song that just entrances me. It was written perfectly for a 17-year-old, with charm and innocence about a time of growth. And David sang it with amazing control.
David finished in second on his season of American Idol, although I will admit I voted for him to win. He is maturing nicely, and I hope he has a long career ahead of him. To find out more about David Aruchuleta, go to his official webpage by clicking here.
