Servers Powered By SL!

Why are the servers failing so much?. Maybe it has to do with the Lindens' attempt to generate electrical power inside SL to run their servers. Here were a few installations I found in Sl tied directly to the SL Power Grid:

An attempt by the Lindens to generate electricity to power their servers in SL. In this case the engineers neglected to put paddles on the water wheel. It developed about 9 volts and was abandoned.

Another 'MEGA Power Generating Station' installed by the Lindens in SL. No wonder the servers have been slow lately. This one produces enough power to light two 60 watt light bulbs!!!

A slightly more efficient use of water, but still able to only power an 8k modem...thus the lags in SL.

A pilot program by Philip Rosedale (CEO Linden Lab) to power Second Life with wind turbines. He notice them in Holland and brought them to SL. Many servers are now attached directly to these marvels.

These are now being installed everywhere and linked together to produce even more internal electricity (as long as the wind blows in SL)

The very latest in wind technology. The lindens are finally getting some power from the wind that blows constantly in SL
